Pat is a husband, father, Coach and CrossFitter! He was first introduced to CrossFit in 2009 and was immediately drawn to its methodology. Pat is a tenacious competitor and grew up playing hockey, which brought him to Minnesota to attend Bethel College, where he earned a degree in Finance and Economics. His competitive hockey days ended with varsity hockey in 1989 when his season ended. While there he earned the “Hardest Worker” award 2 years in a row, awarded from nomination and votes by teammates. Post college athletics, Pat continued to compete/participate), racing mountain bikes, running and triathlons…and after years of chasing around younger hockey players in pick up leagues around the cities, he decided to hang up the skates in 2011 to focus on CrossFit as a sport.
Growing up around weight rooms and training facilities, Pat quickly recognized CrossFit as the training methodology that would disrupt the current training methods. Pat is an entrepreneur by nature and is the Co-Founder of CrossFit SISU which opened in April of 2010.

I CrossFit because…
“I don’t want to be fat.” Seriously, “CrossFit challenges me every time, mentally and physically and no matter how good I get, there is always someone better, so it’s a constant challenge that requires persistence and drive. There is a certain sense of humility that is forged from it!” “And I don’t want to be fat”.
I coach because…
“I love coaching for the obvious reasons of seeing the expression on someone’s face when something finally clicks, when they get their first handstand push up, or climb the rope for the first time, or simply overcome a fear of jumping onto a box. These are the moments in coaching that make it all worth it.
“But the real reason I coach is, everyday I get to touch someone’s life with the purpose of making it better, not just in the box doing CrossFit. For the majority, changes are forged physically by doing CrossFit, but the real benefit, comes outside of the box in their personal life. Everyday I have the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life.”
